How to edit your ‘Mainstreaming’ list in each major service?

The section “Continue viewing” is the first thing you see when you open up your favorite streaming service and often contains a useful list of series you want to continue streaming. You can also see shows that you have given up or shows that you’ve finished but that still appears because you haven’t got enough credits.

It could be quite mischievous. Fortunately, for all major streaming services out there you can fix your “continue watching” section.

How to modify your Netflix viewing history

You will also have to remove a show or movie from your “continue looking” section on Netflix. This can only be done from the Netflix website Account Settings.

  1. Open your browser on the Netflix website (desktop or mobile) and log in.
  2. Choose “Account” option and click the Profile icon from the upper right corner.
  3. Select your profile in the ‘My Profile’ section and click on the ‘View activity‘ button (if your account has multiple profiles).
  4. Find the movie you want to hide, or the TV series, and click Hide (a circle with a line running through it). Click the “Hide Series” button if you wish to hide the whole series.

How to edit the Hulu section “Keep watching”

The removal of a show from the history of Hulu’s watch will also remove it from “Keep Watching” Fortunately, this is done easily.

  1. Open your browser to the Hulu website and navigate to the “Keep Watching” section.
  2. Hover over a movie or TV show image that you want to cover up and click the “X” button to remove it.
  3. To finalize the process, click the “Done” button.

How to change your HBO Max viewing history

HBO Max offers a section that you can edit from your browser or mobile app, which is distinct from “continue to monitor.”

  1. Open your browser to the HBO Max website and log in.
  2. To continue watching, click on the menu button in the top right-hand corner.
  3. To continue watching, click the “Edit” button.
  4. The Remove button is available for all titles now. You want to hide the title in this list by clicking on “Remove” button.
  5. Click the “Clear All” button if you want to remove all titles. Click “Done” to save your edits once you are finished.

How to edit Amazon Prime Video’s viewing history

You can delete “Continue watching” items from the Amazon Prime Video account settings section.

  1. Open your browser and log in with your account on the Amazon Prime Video website.
  2. Select the “Account and Settings” section by clicking on the Profile button at the top right corner.
  3. Go to the “Watch History” tab after signing up for your Amazon account.
  4. Find your hidden movie or TV show and click on the option ‘Delete Watch History movie’ or ‘Watch history episodes delete’

How to edit your Disney Plus viewing history

Disney+ has a “continue watching” function, but no editing option is available. It’ll be here when you begin to watch a movie or a TV show.

The only way it can be removed from “watch continuously” is to complete it. Yes, it’s archaic, but this is the only option until Disney+ adds a watch history editor.

Just open the film or TV show you want to delete from the watch list and move quickly to the finish line. Let it finish and it will be deleted from the list once this is done (for a TV show, do this for the last episode).

How to edit “Next up” on Apple TV+

With the iPhone, iPad and Mac TV app the removal of movies and TV shows is really easy.

  1. Open the TV app and enter the “Watch Now” tab on your device.
  2. Please find here the film or TV show you want to hide. Tap and hold the media cover if you use an iPhone or iPad. When you’re on a Mac, float over the cover media and click on the three-point Menu button.
  3. Select the option “Delete from Up Next.”

The movie or TV will disappear on all your devices from the next section.

How to edit your Paramount+ viewing history

While Paramount + is a relatively new streaming service, it has the functionality to edit your “continue monitoring” list.

  1. Log in to your account and find the section Keep Watching List on the Paramount+ website.
  2. Click the “Edit” button in the top-right corner of the Keep Watch List.
  3. Now you see the circles in the list on each title. Select the headings which you would like to hide and in the upper right corner, click “Remove.”
