techno.rentetan.com – The youngest iPad is equipped with an A15, a USB-C and a smart magnetic connector.

The only change we expect to see with the iPad mini this fall is not a fresh look. The least iPad is supposed to have an A15 processor, USB-C and a magnetic smart connector, according to a 9to5Mac report. This would increase its processing power considerably, but would also mean that you might use the teenager iPad as a laptop replacement.

9to5Mac claims the A15 chip, which also powers the iPhone 13 line-up, will feature the same 5nm process engine as the A14 by quoting anonymous Apple sources. Apple’s presumably working on an even more beefier A15X variant is another interesting fuck. A12, powered by the iPhone XS, XS Max, XR, eighth-gen iPad and third-genered iPad Air, the five-gene iPad is powered by an iPhone A12 chip. Since the A12 Bionic was introduced in 2018 there are various A series chips, so this jump is meaningful, the A12X, the A12Z, A13 and A14 to be exact.

It may not be great to move from 7nm to 5nm. There are, however, high hopes of Apple for the mini iPad redesign. Apple plans to upgrade the A12 on its iPad entry level to an A13, which is not as great an upgrade according to 9to5Mac.

The addition of a USB-C and a smart connector shows also that Apple tries to make it easier to pick smaller iPads from people. First of all, it opens the iPad mini to a broader spectrum of devices, and brings it closer to the iPad Pro and iPad Air. The Smart Connector also suggests we could perhaps see a small keyboard to go with the small iPad.

Bloomberg also said earlier this year that iPad Mini was designed to make a major redesign, with the home button nixed and the bezels slender. Due to these changes, reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says that he expects the display of the iPad mini to jump from 7.9″ to 8.5 to 9 inches.

More large display, more accessory and peripheral compatibility, a faster processor? These changes, together with the fact that iPadOS 15 brings some fine multi-task features and productivity? It certainly looks like Apple is trying to sell us as a working device on the iPad mini. That’s unbelievable. Apart from mixed results, Apple has been working to make each iPad an impressive buy. Who knows that? Who knows? This could only be what the smallest tablet of Apple needs. The iPad Mini was after all the bunch’s awkward iPad. It remains to be seen whether these updates will change.
