Apple’s 12.9-inch iPad Pro has only recently been upgraded with a wonderful new MiniLED display and looks like next year’s 11.9-inch model will be upgraded.

The long-term Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has announced that in his latest note (via Apple Insider), Apple will add an eleven inch iPad Pro and MacBook Air screen in 2022, which will be revised in a latest way as well.

To increase the quality of the iPad display, the move to miniLED with the 12.9 inch iPad Pro in this year was crucial. The technology of Apple’s Liquid Retina [1] XDR (which is Apple’s official name for its mini LED screens) sports an awe-inspiring 10,000 LEDs divided into 2, 596 local dynamic areas, enhancing the contrast, colors and overall brightness.

Apple is supplying the miniLED panels for the 11-inch iPad Pro with Luxshare, according to Kuo. The company is using a new surface mounting technology to avoid some of the low yields and problems with APPLE’s 12.9-inch iPad Pro production.

Kuo says Apple can also add miniLEDs to the MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch in addition to the small iPad Pro and MacBook Air display upgrades. It is expected that both laptops will start mass production in the third quarter of the year, which they will be launched in the fall/winter.

With the achievements of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, and Kuo’s latest prevention, it appears that Apple plans to bring miniLED displays for the complete iPad and MacBook line-up, so that the image quality will not only be boosted but also that the tablet and laptop range of Apple will be more consistent.

Although some previous rumors have been reported, whether Apple upgrades to iPhones with miniLED or sets off from microLED technology still remains to be seen.
