techno.rentetan.com – According to a new report, Xiaomi works on a smartphone with a 200 megapixel sensor. These news came just a couple of days after the Chinese giant launched the Xiaomi Mi 11X Pro in India with its 108-megapixel primary Samsung HM2 sensor. There have been reports for a long time over the Internet about the 200-megapixel sensor. Some tipsters also noted that Samsung is supposed to be working on a Smartphone Cameras 200 megapixel ISOCELL sensor.
A 200-megapixel sensor has been confirmed by the Tipster Digital Chat Station on a tweet as well as a Weibo post (via ITHome). The tipster’s message does not specifically say that Xiaomi does work with a 200-megapixel camera on a smartphone but does the ITHome report. It also quotes the old Ice Universe Weibo post, which claims that Samsung develops this particular ISOCELL sensor, which has a 0.64-micron pixel.
That’s not the first time Samsung is called the 200 megapixel camera sensor manufacturer. Besides an Ice Universe tweet, tipster WHYLAB claimed that this is the sensor Samsung is working on. WHYLAB argued that Samsung’s alleged 1/1,37-inch 200-megapixel sensor has 1.28-micron pixels. 4-in-1 and 16-in-1 pixel binning technology are claimed to support to reduce ring noise in increased images. The sensor has also been tipped to capture 16K.
The smartphone was also launched by WHYLAB at that time, but with a 64-megapixel-sensor by Samsung, the sensor can debut in the ZTE Axon 30 Pro 5 G. Mark Peters of LetsGoDigital claimed in a Tweet to have a 200-megapixel sensor for the Galaxy S22. In collaboration with Technizo Concept, he also shared 3D product renderings that highlight the 200-megapixel Olympus camera. There is currently no concrete information about this, and developments with a grain of salt should be taken.
